✅ Arguments FOR

  • Viruses cross borders — global cooperation is essential for safety
  • Fixes inequity: ensures vaccines reach all nations, not just wealthy ones
  • Creates clear, consistent rules to avoid chaotic national responses
  • Explicitly states it does not override national sovereignty or force mandates

❌ Arguments AGAINST

  • Transfers influence to an unelected body with no direct public accountability
  • Broad definitions of “emergency” could be used to impose restrictions without local consent
  • Heavy reliance on pharmaceutical industry partners raises conflict-of-interest risks
  • Decisions about health and freedom should be made by people who live with the results

🗣️ Question for you

If this was on a ballot paper, would you:

✔ Support it as is, or

✔ Accept it only if sovereignty and privacy safeguards are legally locked in?

  1. I cant believe they finalized those global health rules in 2026! Some of the arguments for them make sense, but Im not convinced. What about personal freedom and individual rights? Just saying.

  2. I cant believe they finalized those global health rules! I think its about time we prioritize our own countries first. Why should we have to follow rules that might not even benefit us?

  3. I cant believe they finalized those global health rules so late! Are we really prepared for the next pandemic? I think we need to prioritize prevention and better coordination between countries.

  4. I think these global health rules are just another way for powerful countries to control the world. Who decides whats best for everyone? Seems like a slippery slope to me.
